IT boss and home affairs official nabbed for corruption

A top executive at IT company Lefatshe known only as Mr Coltraine and a home affairs official have appeared in court on bribery and corruption charges. Home Affairs official Nkosana Hilita appeared in court on charges of accepting cash from Coltraine. The charges are in connection with a tender that was awarded to Lefatshe (Intrusion Detection and Protection System) IDS/IPS.

Hawks spokesman Musa Zondi says: “The duo appeared in the Pretoria Special Commercial Crimes Court on charges of corruption and will appear again on Monday for a bail hearing.” The tender in question was awarded to Lefatshe, without following the normal tender process through SITA.
