A G4 security guard was held up at a Pick ’n Pay branch in Protea Glen in Soweto this morning, police Inspector Kay Makhubele said. “The guard had collected money from the store and was leaving when three armed men confronted him,” Makhubele added.
A cash box and the guard’s firearm were taken. “The gang fired several shots into the air as they fled but no injuries were reported.” They were seen escaping in two getaway vehicles. No arrests had been made yet.
